G30 Barrel Shorten and Recrown

The service executes the following:
- Reduce barrel length by 2.5″ to remove the choke.
- Recrown barrel.
- We provide a new shorter replacement barrel shroud.
This can be added to a custom build order or a send-in modification request. Customers who wish to send in their barrel for service can ship either the entire rifle or just the barrel, barrel shroud, and end cap. The barrel will be heavily cleaned and coated with silicone oil to protect the surfaces for the trip home.
Once the order is received, a follow-up email will be provided. Depending on the service request, the response will contain detailed shipping instructions, including the shipping address and other pertinent information required on the label for the service request being shipped to us.
This service price does not include shipping or parts. Shipping costs to return your PCP or PCP parts will need to be calculated and communicated to you before the order ships back.The reduction of an airgun barrel typically results in a decreased rate of travel of 15-20 ft/s per inch.
Any outstanding balance must be paid before we ship out the service order.

This is what we do to our Haji-Notos/Notos G2 Custom Builds. but you can have the same service performed on your Notos/Notos G2 barrel as well. The Transfer port work increases the port and polishes the opening to allow greater airflow to produce more power more efficiently.Â
Notos G2 Important note: The barrel conversion will not allow you to use your stock pressure tube. You will need to bottle convert your Notos G2.
You ship us your Notos/Notos G2 Barrel and we execute the following:
- Remove the fixed molded plastic suppressor (the suppressor is destroyed in the process).
- Increase and polish the barrel transfer port.
- Two new barrel o-rings are provided.
- Clean up and polish the barrel crown.
- 1/2 x 20 UNF Threaded Adapter Included.
- Barrel Shroud End Cap and Barrel Guide Included.
- Thoroughly clean and silicone barrel bore.
Notos Barrel Removal
Your Barrel is very easily removed by removing the 2.5mm button head screw on top of the Picatinny rail near the magazine opening. Once the 2.5mm screw is removed, there is a 2mm set screw below (or 2 2.5mm screws for the Notos G2) it that holds the barrel into the receiver block. Loosen the 2mm screw four revolutions and slide out the barrel.

When you place the order for the above-described service, we will send you an order processing notification with a copy of your invoice. Shortly after that, you will receive a detailed notification with the shipping information for you to ship us your barrel for modification.

The options may be chosen on the product pageThis service is for the installation of our sidelever cocking system installed in your action. The Sidelever is no longer being offered for .30 caliber variants.
Our side lever system eliminates one of the main gripes folks have with the Umarex Gauntlet and that is COCKING EFFORT!
There is no comparison in cocking effort when you apply the mechanical advantage a sidelever gives you. The installation is a non-destructive installation and can be reversed without any compromise to the airgun’s action or stock.
The sidelever system is a CNC milled 6061 Aluminum part which is hard anodized for a great match to the existing Gauntlet finish. The cocking vertical handle is an additive manufactured carbon fiber & ABS part that can be swapped out by you if you wanted to use a custom handle from wood or other material.
Our sidelever cocking system does require that you hold the handle back to swap mags but there is no need to hold back if you single load using the single shot tray.
One of the most common questions we get is “Can I just buy the parts and install them myself?” and the short answer is, no you cannot. For the reasons why, please read the ARTICLE we published in our blog in February 2023 on this topic.

$310.00Select optionsThis is the service that is included with the Gauntlet 1 Platinum Package as well as the Gauntlet 2 Gold, Platinum, and Ultimate packages. The service is an add-on for lower airgun package offerings that run the rifle through a series of shooting exercises in order to capture and chart power generation and accuracy. This service produces the actual targets shot by your rifle at 25 and 50 yards on 2″ targets. The responses that you provide during the questionnaire are what we use during the final adjustment and execution phases.
You will receive a detailed build sheet that captures every detail of what was performed on your air rifle. You will also receive a detailed data matrix and range result sheet which has the power generation matrix with different ammo weights, feet per second, foot-pounds of energy developed, and what the power adjuster was set to in order to develop those results.
These data sheets become a quick reference for baseline performance data that you can always refer to in order to understand where your power adjuster should be in order to achieve the stated results.
