UPDATE: The newer Origins have a screw-on barrel shroud and an end cap that is a two-piece unscrewable but the STP still fits and works without an issue. unscrew the shroud rather than the little screw shown in the video and simply unscrew the baffle washer array off the end cap and you are good to go.

Strip Stak Pak for the Umarex Origin
A six piece kit that includes an efficient multiport air stripper that strips and channels air away from the pellet to allow for a more stable and less turbulent pellet launch from the muzzle. The kit also provides baffle chambers to help remove both noise and turbulence in the air stream. The end result is a more laminar air stream which reduces projectile instability and as a secondary benefit, reduces the report of the rifle. This kit is 100% compatible with the stock end cap or the DonnyFL A50 adapter.
Air Stripper comes with o-ring and silicone grease for installation. I strongly recommend that you watch my installation video below.

It works fairly well, but I failed to understand, 1st you said no holes on top of the barrel for you didn’t get stuff in your face, then you say drill 3 holes, one on each side, and one on the TOP. Why would you tell us not to drill on the top, then a couple steps later tell us to drill a hole on top. I DON’T agree with the 3rd hole on top, makes no since. So we will see how it works in time, may change review if its possible.

  I am not sure what you watched but there are ZERO holes on the top of the shroud. All three holes are in a triangle shape on the bottom of the shroud facing the pressure tube. I strongly suggest you watch the installation video again.

DISREGUARD THE 1ST REVIEW ! My apologies, you are 100% correct, you did NOT say drill the holes in the top, but I am glad I did the opposite of what I thought you said, and put them in the bottom, but I did only do 2 holes, but followed your well laid out step by step instructions to the tee otherwise. I must be honest though, it not much quieter than stock. I have the hammer backed off 3/4 turn, and am shooting the heavier 18 grain pellets towards the woods 35 yards away, it almost sounds like it’s cracking the sound barrier, but I’m at almost 1500 ft and the gun states around 850 fps with 18 grain so that shouldn’t be the case. The kit did shift my POA quite a bit 4″ or so, but once zeroed it has even a tighter grouping – jagged 1/4″ hole at 35 yards so that is an improvement. My apologies for review #1 once again

  I am so glad that you didn’t drill holes in the top of your shroud also! I am not sharing or repeating the following information as an excuse for nonperformance in any way. You can go online and see I have published the following statements in writing as well in many videos regarding air stream management. The main reason for air strippers and any other device that peels away turbulent air to increase accuracy. My main focus has always been on the accuracy and producing as laminar an air stream as possible. The ultra-smooth airflow results in fewer jetties or turbulence that can toss a pellet around as it is leaving the barrel and flying through whatever unconditioned cavity that exists in the barrel shroud. A by-product of air stream conditioning is noise suppression, but again air strippers and such devices are not sound mitigation seeking as the main focus, sound mitigation is a by-product of effective airstream conditioning. You will get a very respectable reduction in sound if the operating pressure of a PCP is around 1500PSI per shot, higher than that really requires a more robust and greater surface area to eat the sound.

I installed the new upgraded Strip Stak Pak on my new Umarex Origin. I was a bit confused and watched the video several times. The problem came from the new fact that the new Origins have a new stripper built into the barrel shroud and the shroud doesn’t have a set screw at the base of the shroud. This is because the new shrouds unscrew instead of just slipping off after you would remove the set screw on the old shrouds. So I spent an undue amount of time trying to figure out how to get the shroud of by wiggling it back and forth as on the video. The new shroud cap was also on very tight and took considerable effort to remove. I finally figured it all out and got the new Strip Pak installed. I am very happy with the results and can say it’s a bit quieter and very accurate. I also put a Donny FL Tatsu on it and it really rocks!
